VM Toolbox

"VM Toolbox" is a small tool to manage vmware machine properties such as the changing hardware version of many vmware machines without editing the ".vmx" file.

Currently implemented features
  • Changing hardware version of one or more machines. This is where this tool got its name from since vmware player does not support upgrading hardware versions through GUI
  • Enable / Disable "Synchronize guest time with host"
  • Tools upgrade policy switch (upgradeAtPowerCycle / useGlobal)
  • Multi vmware pool aware by adding paths inside the settings section
  • Archive functionality
  • Copy functionality
  • Add / Edit annotations since this is also a vmware workstation only thing
  • Start machine
  • Open vmx in vs code
